Thats a good idea Jim, Many European motorhomes have an electric cooker ring along with the gas ones. As you say a great idea for saving gas, especially when you are paying for the leccy anyway. Good tip Jim:thumb:

Hi Jim

Yes indeed, on EHU we don't use any gas, which not only saves money but a lot of hassle of leaving the site to find LPG or hooking up a bottle.

We have the most inefficient gas oven in the world in our rv and bought a little 'Bifinette' oven and grill from Lidl for 19.99 which is very efficient. Cooked Christmas dinner in it no probs. Totally agree, if you pay for electric you don't use your LPG especially when you have to upskittle and fill bulk. We now use the gas oven as extra storage.

My oven in the RV is built into the microwave and gets to hot IMO where it is so bought a freestanding electric oven in france for about £40.

Brilliant bit of kit:thumb:
