Converting Tomtom rar file to Garmin GPX (1 Viewer)

Can anyone help?
I have POIs from my old Tomtom that I would like to add to my Garmin but the file is in the wrong format.
Can rar be converted to gpx?

Google might be your friend but a .rar file is a compressed one and not specific to TomTom. I suggest you search for something which will uncompress the file first then convert it to Garmin format. There may be websites which can do it for you. Otherwise it should be possible to do it manually in Excel.

You can use 7-zip to unpack the rar archive http://www.7-zip.org/
you can then see what file type is there.
You can then look to convert that to Garmin format.
