Connecting iPad to tv, what am I doing wrong? (1 Viewer)

Had quite a bit of help over the last few days regarding connecting my iPad to the tv. I have all the right connections Connected as all the instructions but what I get come up on my iPad is, “video is playing” but no pictures on the tv, help please in very simple terms.

I use a “Chromecast” to stream from phone or iPad

I found that if you are plugging the TV in directly to the iPad then the apps like All4 will not allow playback on the TV !
