Very confused as today l’ve driven 300 Kms and noticed the Habitation Battery is only showing 12.2 v .. The battery is virtually new and since our trip through France the reading is making no sense.

Any thoughts as to what could be the problem ? I have an issue with the Sureflow water pump and needs attention or replacement but the pump switches off as it should so no waste of power there .

if that is reading immediately after stopping , or whilst driving , then it looks like not charging situation , have you checked fuses?

First thought is it’s not getting a charge from the engine.

Thanks , a very kind Samaritan had a Elec tester and confirmed that although l had driven 300 kms and in poor weather so lights, heater, headlamps, and radio on wouldn’t have helped to replace what l used at the previous nights stopover , albeit it was interior lighting .
His meter readings showed the Hab Battery at 12.2 v , Once we started the engine the meter showed charge going into the Hab battery but he said to get to a fully charged battery it would take another 6-7 hours.
I have a solar panel but it’s been wired up that the engine takes presidence over the Hab battery which he said to get altered hey ho nothings simple

What exactly did the meter show in terms of voltage ...
Because if all was working as it should then the hab battery should have been registering more than 12.2 volts after a drive like that.. even runni g the eqiupment you mention and assuming the reading was taken shortly after and you wernt running a large load..
With engine running an alternator voltage of around 14.4 v on the start battery and id expect high 13's on the leisure if in fact it doesnt mirror the start battery voltage...
Thats my thoughts..
If the solar controler is a dual controler it would be normal for the hab battery to have priority
Andy..
Andy.

That’s my thoughts Andy, it’s wired the wrong way to my thinking . I’m going to sort it all out when we get back end of March.
The Meter readings l can’t tell you as the Samaritan voltage tester showed that it was slightly above 12.2 v after the journey , When I started the engine he tested again and his reading was charge was gonna no back in . I left the engine running for 15 min and the Hab Panel Reading was 12.5 v .

Ignore Mr Samaritan, those readings are showing a fault on the charging of the Hab battery.
