mportant information: Collapse of Wirecard

You may have seen reports in the press about the collapse of Wirecard, a German-based bank that also issues prepaid cards in the UK. We understand that the Financial Conduct Authority (FCA) has blocked funds on those Wirecard cards. I can reassure you that Wirecard is not a supplier to Caxton and your Caxton Card and Account is not affected in any way.

Had an email from FairFX........both our cards won’t work due to the problems with Wirecard.

Good job we’re not abroad now as we use them for everything.

Money on the cards is safe, but can’t access it.

Not as snappy a title but already a warning posted here earlier

We're here to help

You might have friends or family members who do have cards issued by Wirecard and they could be concerned about the safety of their funds. If so, Caxton is here to help. By sending them this personalised link, they can instantly apply for a Caxton Card and, once the FCA lifts their block, transfer their funds from their Wirecard-issued prepaid card to their new account, subject to our normal checks.
