We have 2.3 multijet 2008 and driving down the M6 this morning the clutch went. We got home by pumping the pedal and my hubby had a look under the bonnet but couldn’t see any leaks. He bled the slave cylinder and hey presto it’s working again. Has anyone else had this? Will his repair last? Thanks

There are a few threads on loss of clutch like this.
But, how did other half bleed the clutch, it is my understanding that the slave cylinder is inside the Bell housingg and the clutch shares a master cylinder with the brakes.
I genuinely would be interested incase this should happen to me.

There is a bleeding nipple for the slave cylinder. We had a Swift Bolero and the clutch went on that but it wouldn’t bleed up. It was the slave cylinder and we had it replaced and new clutch put in, but the clutch wouldn’t bleed up and this one has. It seems fine.
