I’ve got a question hopefully someone can help me with. I need to clean the top of the awning where it is attached to the wall of the van and I don’t have a lot of space to use a ladder. I’m doing the job on the kerbside. Also, when I go away I won’t be taking ladders so I need an easy way of sweeping/cleaning the awning top.

When I roll out the awning fully with the support legs, can I reduce the height of the awning (by having the legs shorter) so that I can reach the top of the awning for cleaning without ladders ? I haven’t tried this yet but has anyone else.

Any help appreciated

I still can't reach the back of the awning on the top where it meets the top of the van. The awning is still pretty tall despite the legs being as short as possible to support the weight. It extends about 2.5 metres outwards.

How do you manage it ?

Use a long handled car wash brush.
