Cleaning off non setting sealant?

What's good for cleaning off non-setting sealant?
I've scraped off as much as I can off the rubber seal, and I've managed to get almost all stickiness off my hands using vegtetable oil followed by normal soap. I don't think it will work on the rubber seal though. Any suggestions what will get it off without dissolving the seal too?

(The seal was taken off when I had a replacement window that turned out not to fit.)

Another vote for white spirit, that's what I used

And another vote for white spirit, just remember to polish any bodywork after as it will take the polish off.
