I don’t think so. If it’s silicone mastic it leaves a very slippery coating. I thing it’s best to use a proper silicone remover and then do it really thoroughly.
If it’s non-set adhesive/sealant I don’t know.
Point taken. I should have said silicone sealant needs a remover.Silicone and mastic are two different things. mastic will clean up with white spirit silicone needs silicone remover.
Is that not for cut on your self so it ok to use to clean ateaYes, but any residue of white spirit not completely removed will likely cause your newly applied sealant not to adhere.
I do a final wipe over with IPA ( isopropyl alcohol) and let that evaporate off before applying sealant.
I have and it's the best I have ever used and I have tried many of the other more expensive ones which have turned out to be naff.Screw fix sell a sealant remover, never tried it though.
I have had no problem with the Screwfix sealant remover. I have used it on the factory painted roof of the Ducato PVC we had, and on our present Elddis roof finish, but that's no guarantee on your roof finish.But willl the sealant remover be ok to rub on body of moterhome
