not long enough
I have convinced myself that the last time I did mine I caused the leak round the skylight, leaving it to the rain to keep it clean from now on (y)

Did mine the other day, when Mrs Deluxe was out (not supposed to do strenuous things like that after back op). Very pleased with the results

Do ours every time I wash the van

Keeps the rest of the van cleaner too as no dirty dribbles coming off the roof

Got a special ladder which converts into an A frame

Takes about 15 mins, using a long handled brush and a bucket of soapy water

About a month ago, we pitched up under a tree at Leyburn that also happened to be a roost for some BIG birds. The whole roof was covered so we decided to have an overdue roof clean.
Initially used an A frame step ladder but after a few wobbly moments decided to adapt a standard ladder by adding a couple of 3ft lengths of XHDuty foam insulation to the uprights. Felt much more secure.
Nice clean roof now.
Also cleaned under the hinge side of the Heike rooflight by using a length of cord with a small piece of J cloth tied in the middle pulled back and forth under the hinges (a la rifle pull through)
