Has anybody got one of them, any opinion???

I'm looking for an aircon for a converted van, we need to be able to run it while driving and maybe on hookup but the dometic options are rather expensive (approx 4000€ with the DC kit)

Thank you for any advice or opinion.

Julien.

If my reading of the specifications is correct, then this draws 32A in total (16A each for the condensor and evaporator) which probably explains why the description refers to only using the device while the engine is running. At that current draw, you would need a beefy battery.

From what I can see in their data for the 2400 model the 12v power consumption is eqivalent to having 6 pairs of halogen headlamps on at the same time ! Obviously this isnt constant running but still considerable .

The link goes to a site listing several different types, engine driven, 12 volt and 220 volt. To do what you want a 220 volt one might be the answer, running off an inverter when driving and on mains when on EHU. :)
