Hi, we have a 3 year old granddaughter who we plan to take away for night or 2 in the van (Dethleffs Globetrotter). The child seat we have for the car is a CosyNsafe with isofix, which we use and is great, easy to fit and is solid. I have tried this in the rear passenger seat in the van just using the vehicle straps in the conventional way to the instructions (no isofix in the van) but in comparison this seems not as secure. I have noticed is the distance from the seat base to where the strap comes out at the top (where it would go over your shoulder) is significantly less in the van.

Any advice on child seats would be welcome.

Thanks

We had the same issue.
We ended up buying a 3 way connection child seat which did isofix, 3 point belt and lap belt. If you Google them you’ll get the choices.
We used the 3 way belt in the mh and pulled it really tight into the seat and it did the job.
I don’t think you’ll get a seat as secure over using isofix.
