This looks like a reasonably priced tracker to comply with insurance companies what do you think £199 + £99 per year monitoring fee😊

In my experience insurance companies discount by around £45, so your £99 does not appear to be good value. I know there are some other factors, but as far as getting your money's worth it just doesn't stack up.

It does if you cannot insure without a tracker compared to a lot of the more expensive providers🤔

That is very cheap compared with other monitored systems, and being battery powered allows a multitude of installation places.

My thought exactly, the five year battery life is good and if you watch the youtube presentation its not very big and fully waterproof could be as you say hidden anywhere😊

I have never had an insurance company insist on a tracker. When asked I simply say no.
Then re-do the quote but this time say yes.
There is usually a small difference, but nothing significant.
My motorhome insurance with CAMC this year went down to below £200.

I could not even insure my Motorhome when i first brought it without a tracker as no insurance companies would even quote, i thought the thatcham alarm would be enough. The one on this thread is very cheap compared to the normal installations, they are usually a lot more than that

I don’t think tracker would be required at that value I believe it’s around £65000 mark that they insist on trackers🤔

It is sold for self install so won't be acceptable to insurance companies. Also not cheap there are trackers that you can get installed for £200 +£500 for lifetime monitoring.

It’s cat 7 Lenny? Why is self install not acceptable and is it stipulated in most insurance companies garb then?🤔

It's only drawback is that continuous monitoring only happens once the theft is reported to their monitoring centre. This may be OK if stored at home, if in storage by the time you know its gone its may be too late. Otherwise just reports its position once a day.

Yes that’s a point worth looking at so basically they are not continuously monitoring? but you can set up ring fence to alert when going out of an area such as storage site I assume that would be as and when it happened?🤔

Often insurers insist on S5 category trackers, make sure that a lower rated S7 is ok with your insurer. As Lenny HB said self install is not acceptable, the installer has to be Thatcham approved as well as the device. Some unregistered installers have been known to take short cuts that make it too easy to disable the tracker.

Insurance companies insist they are professionally installed. Bugs me as I can do a better job myself, same with alarms.

On the phone a while ago insurance person questioned as to whether the tow bar was professionally fitted. I said "Yes by me". She said that was fine.

I did the same with the car, they had to go back to the underwriters. Only had the question from one insurer.
They seem to be more fussy about Trackers & alarms.

My thoughts exactly I suppose we need to challenge their interpretation of professionally installed🤔
