B&Q currently selling 5L AdBlue (Carlube) for £4.

I needed a fill up, so I bought 3. Way cheaper than buying the 10L containers, which is odd? I live quite a way from nearest AdBlue garage pump fill up, so at that price it made sense.

The manufacture dates on them were good (March 2025) and the ones I saw in

my local B&Q were stored in cardboard boxes (not in sunlight), so all good.

I got a couple, to replace the 10 litres I put in after the Spanish trip. Very good value, surprising from B&Q

I don't use it so not very interested but walking around Lidl yesterday was quite surprised to see it being sold in the middle isle, as I say not interested so didn't look how much it was.

It seems to go up and down in price, when I first needed to buy it, it was about £10 for 10lt then it went up to about £18, now down to £8. I'm tempted to get more, but I don't think it stores too well. I get through about 20lt a year, unless my daughter visits and pinches it🙂

Apart from it not having a great shelf life, the containers aren’t very robust and a leak from one could be expensive with the resulting damage as it is corrosive.

I must strongly urge caution with cheap adblue or adblue that has been exposed to sunlight as on a fuel station forecourt. It will crystallise and cause lots of problems especially in winter. On the way down to the Alannia Rally in Spain a number of cars and motorhomesnhad to be recovered due to adblue problems.
It may be cheap but it is not worth it in the long run.

We bought 4 of the B&Q ones last week. Stored inside the store and then temporarily in our garage until it goes in next weekend.

Also Costco do 10L for £8 plus vat.

Manufacturingit is very sensitive to the price of Gas apparently.

My bulk price has gone up 2p a litre in tbe last 12 months so I'd say retailers are just lining their pockets if it keeps going up and down

Always bought them in containers like this and never had a leak in 4 years. 1 year shelf life if stored properly. I just bought enough for a year based on mile annual mileage.
