The electric bed has be working well for a while now and went to put it down this morning and no life in it at all, lights don’t come on zilch!
anyone got a clue?

If you have no lights on it, then suggest a fuse has blown. On our Chausson, Flash 10, all the fuses are located in the fusebox beside the charger unit. OR could be the main relay has stopped working, the one which the key switch operates.

That’s what we wondered but don’t know which fuse and they all look ok ? it’s not main relay

Will have a look on our Chausson wiring diagram later, it may show which fuse it is.

The circuit diagrams refer to the Flash 10, but there might be similarities with your vehicle. I think the fuse you'll be looking for is a 20A job, probably only two of them in the fuseboard. Your have to visually knit the diagrams together. The word LIT refers to the bed. Another faint possibility is the "belt-buckle" which you have to engage when the bed is fully up. From memory that needs to be disengaged before the bed will operate, so if the little switch in there was sticky it would not allow the bed to operate.

Turns out that a cable had burnt out. It took some finding but after everything else had been eliminated OH keep looking and bingo all back to as normal as the b***** electric bed can be.

Our has been fine touch wood but I know some people have converted them to just a straightforward rocker switch have you looked at the chausson Facebook group?

I really like the rocker idea but not possible with ours it only comes down to the top of the seats and doesn’t clear the kitchen area. We bought it new in 2014and love almost everything about it, the large garage, bunk beds, spacious shower, large wardrobes, big fridge, plenty of room when the beds up.
When the bed isn’t playing up it’s great, but boy have we had our moments!

Don't like the sound of a cable burning out, that's what fuses are meant to protect, any idea why it happened ? Was the burnt out cable in the bed area or where ?

Does the bed lose it's memory now and then and you have to re-program it ?

Why is it not possible the rocker is 3position when you don't press it off click up for motor up down for motor down when you release it it stops. So you can just power it down to the seat top.

The cable was below under the bench seat and looks like it was never screwed in tight enough as new and has been shorting for some time. Which explains a load of stuff. And yes I hear what you’re saying about the purpose of the fuses but replacing this wire properly has sorted the situation.
