Can someone tell me when the USB ports over the head of the driver / passenger are powered, I tried with engine on but do they work like the mains type sockets, i.e. when on hook-up ? thanks

Since 2015
On our Chausson they are connected to the Leisure battery so work all the time on or off hook up

Same here, our 530 ones are always on but remember you do need the CBE control panel switched on.

Tried it today - no luck, tried engine on / off / panel on and with light switch on as this turns on 12v - neither USB overhead of passenger or in bedroom area work, I was told that the mains sockets only work on EHU so wondered if this was the same ?

Have you checked the Chausson/CBE fuses?

My 530 is in storage so don't have a manual handy so maybe you could check yours, if available, to see which fuse protects the usb socket circuit.

Sorry to show my ignorance but what are CBE fuses ?

In the Technibox next to the Mains Circuit Breaker Box there is a12v Fusebox (this is a component of the CBE system Chausson use) there are, from memory, twelve fuses. Check these to see if any have blown.

If no luck there then there is (on my 530 2019 model) an auxillary fuse box hidden behind the black plastic trim panel situated below the drivers side lower seat belt mounting bolt. Can't remember what fuses are in here but seem to recall this is a 'converters' fuse box that allows integration with the Fiat chassis cab wiring.

Failing that it's time to get the multimeter out and do some testing and tracing.

Hope this helps.

If I recall correctly, you need the lights circuit switched on at the main Hab control panel (one of the 4 top buttons).

I had the same issue when I first got mine.
