Chassis identification. (1 Viewer)

Hi all. New here so please be gentle! I've been reading on this forum with some interest about semi air suspension. I've noticed that people make reference to the chassis being a X250/290 etc but being ignorant on the subject I have no idea what this is or where to find it on my Fiat based 2015 Hymer Carado. I've looked at the plate but cannot see this anywhere. I'm hoping someone on here can enlighten me. Many thanks.....

x250 was till 2014 then uprated to x290 Should be on the chassis number

X290 is the current chassis & began on 64 plate vehicles, X250's ended on some very late registered 15 plate vehicles.

This is a stock picture of an X290 cab - note the headlights, which are very different from an X250's.

@Ozzie the only safe way is to look at the front and compare it to the images given above as I seem to recall a thread on this forum a while ago about some early 290 models having 250 on the VIN!

Whilst I am usually more than happy to help newbies (or any one really) I am NOT going to try to find the ruddy thread as it would take ages ... just look at the headlights instead!

Hi guys... Having spoken to the dealer where I got the vehicle from, Travelworld (not very helpful) and a Fiat dealer I now know that my vehicle is a X250 even though it has the later lamp and bonnet configuration so many thanks for all your help....

Nope mine is a 2017 X290 Euro 6, VIN ZFA250xxxxxx

As I already mentioned some early ones certainly had a vin number that didn't 'match' the model but I wasn't aware of that going on past 2015.

Lenny - do you know the actual build date of the Fiat bit on your MH?

My 65 plate has the new front end and headlights, yet the chassis was released in 2013 and ZFA250
