Looking
So don’t yet have a MH, but trying to find ideas so we can buy for the layout and update/change if needed. It seems most of Pinterest etc is just about building your own or PVC no MH And all mainly sun living full timers with no bathroom, but beautiful looking handmade kitchens. Has anyone reupholstered their seating? Or changed the colour of the cupboards or used stick on vinyl type tiles in the kitchen/table/bathroom etc or any websites that are good for that? Or changed/added blinds etc? Bonus points for pictures!

Bump - sure a few on here can advise on this?

On my previous van I used vinyl stick on tiles as a splash back.

You can have cushioned reupholstered but not cheap though.

Cheers James

Probably just easy to get some throws for the seats, modify the lighting (LED’s) add a mirror….

What are your diy skills?
Most of a refurb is labour, if you look around a van there are pieces of upholstered panel everywhere...if you can remove those and recover them yourself you will halve a reupholstery quote.
In my last van I totally stripped the bathroom and fitted white wall panels to freshen it up.
Some people have the tools and skill to router the cupboard doors and insert the posh chrome strips to update but it's all down to your talent 👍

Had our old bus reupholstered , new carpets made , curtain around the drop down bed and new curtains, very pleased

I've had a couple of goes at self-build/improvement and was quite impressed with stick-on floor tiles from B&Q. They were black with a grey pattern. What particularly impressed me was how they lasted, even the ones by the sliding door, the edges of which you can scuff with your feet as you enter. For furniture I used Vohringer board and found it quite easy to use. Enjoyed it but found it took ages, time which I felt you'd be better spent camping, and came round to the view that it's better to buy something already finished, with a reasonable second hand value, as it's difficult to get a good price for a self-build.

replaced my interior another set of cushions to finish off today then. carpets to go last lot of curtains tomorrow.
but there are many many other things that can be updated or improved.

I had the cab seats reupholstered by Sew Trim in Botley

Thanks for all the tips and photos everyone, it’s good to see what’s possible on a MH not a self build in California by the beach (not helpful Pinterest!)
