Changing a return Eurotunnel ticket - Answered, thank you.

Hello, people, Happy Monday!

The answer to this is not clear on the Eurotunnel web site - it says you can change the date before you travel, but not whether you can change the date of your return once you're out there.
We're not (yet) Frequent Travellers, and it will be a standard ticket.

Does anyone have first hand experience of this?

No problem changing the return but you may have to call them to do so it depends on the type of ticket you have.

It's not an issue and simple to do
 
No problem changing the return leg of the journey from France.

For 16 years we travelled back and forwards to our base in France booking both legs of the journey before going. I can’t remember any time that we returned on our original booked date. A simple telephone call was needed for us as we had booked using Tesco vouchers which could not be changed on-line.
 
Most times we change our dates before and during our holidays. Before 24hrs is no problem and normally just online, any complications give them a ring and they sort it for us.
 
It’s easy to do. We had used Tesco vouchers so couldn’t change online and apart from the fact that there are office hours involved and so you need to plan a bit it was a very straightforward phone all.

Very easy to do online. Has to be done at least 24hrs before original booked date.
 
A word of warning though... The phone lines are not the best atm. About a week ago, I was trying to ring them... 4 attempts with over half an hour wait before giving up. Eventually managed to speak to someone... I even tried the French line with same long wait. Hopefully, they will get back to some sort of normal soon.
 
Don’t phone! You will wait for hours at the moment. It’s easy to do online unless you need to change the type of vehicle. once you have logged into your account, or if you don’t have an account use your booking reference and password your received in the confirmation email. At the bottom of the first page after you have logged in, there is a blue link Edit Booking. That allows a you to change the return date.
 
Strangely, I did have to call this morning because the web site was having a hissy fit, and I was answered within 3 minutes!

Thank you for the replies, my fears are calmed! Now let's just hope we can get there!
