My Avtex TV for the motor home has went on the blink.
The TV I'm using now is useless if you are not watching straight on.
Thinking of buy a cello TV for the motor home.
Does anyone have one and is the viewing angle good.
Don't want to spend a fortune on another Avtex

We the Cello Smart Traveller. Works well for us. Fire stick, hard drive plugged into it. Only downside is poor sound , in my opinion, from the standard speakers. Edit. Viewing angle is acceptable for us

It was the sound that went on the Avtex and was told its
cheaper buying a new tv than repairing it.

There is a 15" Avtex for sale on the classifieds here for £60, I haven't a clue wether that is a good price though.

Is it just the speakera that have gone? Would a soundbar still work with it? cheaper than a new telly.

They are certainly expensive. We have a Finlux with built in CD. Runs on either 240 & 12v. Can’t remember the exact price but was way cheaper Than Avtex. Been very pleased with it too.

Look at Ferguson
Cello in disguise
Picture great. angle great
Sound very tinny, but only £170 brand new and a soundbar is only 30
Mine is “smart” for internet connection, but some of the apps might run out of validity

If you are just watching normal tv, i can recommend

But I wouldnt buy a second hand tv

We have a avtex in the lounge and A cello in the bedroom cello works well for us just to watch for an hour or so with good picture and if good area plenty of channels but no comparison to the avtex if we have to buy another I would pay the extra and have the avtex you get what you pay for

Bought a sound bar but wasn't any improvement.
Guy in the repair shop said the headphone socket was on the same circuit as the speakers.
Don't want to spend a lot of money on one as its mainly used for watching DVD's when we are abroad.

Will have a look at the Ferguson range.
Don't want to spend more than £200 so its in my range

We've got a Cello Traveller and the viewing angle appears okay for us. The sound is pretty tinny so we use a boom box. I also added a bluetooth transmitter to the TV sound output plug and pinged it to the boom box which now sits safely on a cabinet (rather than tied or attached to the back of the TV). No lip sync issues either.

We've got a 24" Ferguson and, as per Cheshirecat57 , viewing angle is excellent and sound (as per nearly all modern tv's) suspect! We plug in a set of these Broken Link Removed give acceptable quality \ volume.
We went for the no-Smart version as it has inbuilt DVB-T and satellite tuners (as we have both aerial and sat dish). Having said that we prefer to use our Manhattan SX sat receiver so could have went with the Smart version:doh:.

Our Cello (Not sure if it was traveler) viewing angle was terrible, ended up getting a Avtex secondhand from the forum. The Cello is now at the end of the fixed bed, OK for direct viewing and the Avtex in the cupboard that comes out if we are viewing from the lounge area as the viewing angle is near on perfect

FINLUX,, BUSBY.

Medion from Aldi - all good for me (apart from the 12v plug needs cutting off and a new one put on it.)

Our Ferguson replaced our Medion (still working well and now used at home) as viewing angle was much poorer.

We have a cello. It's terrible. 3 years old and in a drawer in the house. Maybe they have improved recently
