Hiya funsters, just wondering if anyone has any ideas of safe parking around the area. I've found a lot of negatives such as heavy fines for just so much as turning round in some carparks!!! Sort of puts you off spending hard earned cash to make the journey in the first place ,but surely not everyone can be against tourists

Hi big map thanks for posting the link to Torbay Council Car Parks
Having read it, it confirmed that its a big NO to us using their listed car parks, as you cant heat the van, cook a meal, or sleep in the van, plus our van is 7.5Mtrs long no doubt taking up two bays, so we would probably have to buy two tickets.
Having said that, it was bad enough 30 plus years ago parking a car with all the double yellow lines everywhere down there plus & Pay & display Car Parks, at rip off costs.
I think its probably not worth the risk for us these days, so campsites seem to be the only option, trouble is, we dont use them much which further narrows our options.
Hopefully travel restrictions will ease later this year, so we can stand on the Normandy/Brittany beaches, face North and give the proverbial finger to the South West Councils for not accommodating us.
