I'm a newbie
Arrived Friday morning , followed the campervan signs ignoring the satnav as directed , sent me onto the M3 then off at the first junction , then nothing , got here , over an hour to get in , not a bad spot though, top of the row overlooking a hedge , water is 50ft away

I'd booked early to get a camper pitch as they sell out quickly , what I didn't expect was the campsite to be a Duke of Edinburgh hike from the festival over rough ground , it's about a 20 minute walk

However we did bring plenty of provisions for the 3 days and being self contained we're living a life of luxury compared to the many lifestyle campers in their cute VWs

There are only a handful of showers and toilets and by the middle of the morning they're minging with cold water in the showers

The festival itself is great, plenty to see and do , James blunt was great , especially when he decided to go crowd surfing in a gas mask

The food is extortionate but the beer isn't as bad as I was expecting £6.50 a pint

Enjoying it but carfest is pushing it , a few classics get driven round a short track a few times a day , they could probably call it whitefest though , I've never seen as many white people in one place.

It's far too big though , 90 minutes to get out of the car park has reported on Facebook last night

We're leaving in the morning so it'll just be campers leaving then

Having been to carfest south I've enjoyed it but I wouldn't do it again , solely because of the distance between the MH park and the site , everyone is complaining about it , about 20 minutes up some quite steep hills and rough ground.

Saw some great bands and cars freya ridings deserved her own set , she was 1000% better than the DJ set that followed the supergroup

Rob bridings as elvis from Wales was funny and the feeling playing their hits and backing the others was great

Reports say there's no carfest North next year so it's likely to be even bigger

Biggest shock if true is only 20% of the tickets sales makes it to children in need

Carfest... brilliant when it was first started, raised huge amounts for charity.
Now it's just another corporate money leeching greedy overpriced festival.
Absolutely, did the first 6 carfest north's, first one in a tent, then campervans for the following 5 and they just got bigger and bigger as everyone and their aunty wanted to go, final straw was the year we booked in to arrive early on the Thursday afternoon and we were jammed in together, like our guy ropes under next doors van jammed in, but the later arrivals got plenty of room and the security were just hired thugs with arm bands - never again 😒

I went to the first 4, but after that it became almost impossible to get tickets. The first one was really good though, much more family orientated.

It's going to be even worse next year , they're dropping north and calling it one big carfest in the south

That's it for me , won't be going again

As much as i love all cars especially classics i simply would not feel comfortable in that sort of environment.
The recent Gold Cup at Oulton Park with classics, vintage, racing, auction, displays in wide open plenty of space to move around is more to my liking.
And £20 to get in, almost no queing.

I won’t go to the Revival again despite only living down the road and normally getting free tickets, so crowded that it gets uncomfortable even more so with Covid still about. ☹️☹️
