Thinking of a visit to Cardiff and the above came up as a convenient overnight parking spot on searchfor sites.
Does anyone have any experience please ?

To start, how long is your MoHo?

I have spoken directly with the Enforcement Officers and they do invoke the fitting in one bay rule. The Cardiff meter system does not allow you to buy two tickets, one for front another for the back. So that rules out most carparks.

I have not read the parking rules for the small carpark near to the BBC studios, I will wander over later if I have time.

Windsor Parade is close to the Bay and bus services to the city centre. One side of the road is Resident's Parking, the other is unrestricted, however you need to be there before 5am to get a spot. Also not, it is a street full of expensive houses.

Dunleavy Drive is a little further away and home to 24 hour Asda and Starbucks. If you drive past Starbucks to the top of the road there is a mini roundabout and just straight aheAd is some waste land parking, away from everything.

Wentloog Road, past the Aldi Distribution Centre there is an unofficial Truck Stop park on the road between Aldi and Pinewood Studios Wales.

Or the campsite near Sophia Gardens.

Many thanks, I'm 6 metre.
I was hoping to get on Harbour Drive or Sophia gardens car park but maybe that's a bit optimistic.
I'll ask, but I guess the campsite will have minimum stay this weekend and I havent got 3 or 4 nights.
I emailed the council but no response yet (n)
Thanks again
Chris

There is park and ride in Cardiff and I believe they allow overnight parking for one night only.

Never done it but it might be worth looking into.

Windsor Parade is really Windsor Esplanade.

@Chris unfortunately two p&r allow motorhome parking, one day time only and the other allows overnight parking but not sleeping in the vehicle (n)
Might be better going to Pembrokeshire, but Mrs wants bloody shops

Investigations.

Parking in the Harbour Drive carpark is uncertain.

Nothing banning MoHos.
No exclusions against overnight parking.
No exclusions for staying in the vehicle.

However;

Parking charges apply 24/7.
Maximum charge is for up to 12 hours.
Couldn't see rules to prevent you buying another ticket.

I believe that is another name for the Porth Teigr carpark, but I may well be wrong.

Yes, it's next to harbour drive parking and comments by @theoldman will apply. Not specifically allowed, but not banned either. Both appear on searchforsites. I'm just not sure if we'd get on arriving midday or if it would be at all peaceful and relaxing ? I think I'll put my foot down with a firm hand and tell the OH we'll not be heading for the city.
I gather the council have a firm policy on fitting into the parking bay, difficult in a MH unless you can overhang the rear over a grassed area.
Altogether a bit too stressful for me.
Well visit another time, just not on a bank holiday.
A beautiful Welsh beach will do for me this weekend.

Thanks to all especially @theoldman (y)

Head for Pembrokeshire.

Celtic Camping near At David's is very nice,

But not sure how busy on an Easter weekend.
