Hi Folks

We'd like to visit this show in Jan, we need to travel and stay in our van as we can't leave the dog at home!

2 Questions for those experienced at these shows:

1. Can we take a dog into the show (last one we event to at Birmingham was a dog show too) he's a Collie BTW?
2. Where can we stay locally in the van? It needs to be close by so we can get back quickly if we need to for the dog.

Appreciate any feedback or suggestions.

Ian

Victoria Station carpark is the closest if you can get on.
I have parked at the Trafford centre but only daytime.

Hi Ian , i live nearby, what day are you thinking of going, Thursday will be the least busby, if you are staying all day you could park at Barton sq (next to event) and just keep going out (hand stamp) to check on the dog and you could try Burrs country park (cmc) at Bury for your overnite stay half decent pub just outside of site or stay longer and go into Bury (Fri,Sat market days) you could of course ring event city and ask about dogs been allowed in . PS it's only about 25 mins to burrs country park traffic permitting.

There is a CL in lymm which is abt 15/20 mins from Trafford center using back road through Carrington, cL is called broom edge farm, nice pub next door but poor public transport though so would need to take van to show unless you have a tow car

I don`t think, the dog can go inside. There is parking within walking distance. We parked the M-H (7.4M) in a disabled bay, and deployed the mobility scooter with no problem. As for the show, the one we did was (IMV) not the best, however it`s "horses for courses". WE used a C-L near Stockport, but only because we have friends who live (near) there, so we could "catch up".

Never seen a dog in there. I've been to loads of these but to be honest if you are a motorhomer you might find it disappointing as it is dominated by caravans. We went to the NEC one a few weeks later and found it much better. Would sooner travel the greater distance .

Dogs aren’t allowed at the N.E.C. in February either. If they are allowed in for Crufts why not a motorhome show. They are less trouble than children.

Thank you all for the responses. We have an 8m van so doubt we will find anywhere to park locally on the fly, and having to get back for the pooch means we would have to be parked close by.

I think we will give this one a miss, see what else we can do later in the year.

Cheers

Ian

Hi Mister B just to say you can't get to the show by tram, you would have to get it to Stretford then by bus to Trafford center or you could get there early and park at the traff cent plenty of room 10k space's as for cheap tickets have a look at the CMC website but you would only save a £1 or 2 not enough for a coffee!!

Does anyone know if you park a 7.5m motorhome at event city during the day.
