Caravan insurance Portugal

Hi we have a caravan based at a campsite permanently in the Algarve. Our insurance cover with Towergate have now informed us we will no longer be covered. Does anyone know an insurance company that covers caravans abroad for 365 days please?

My thoughts as well,but might it have to be imported. Another thought,sell for little money..1.euro.. and a hand shake, to an expat mate with a Porty address and see if that works. Best of luck whatever. Tea Bag

If you have a fiscal number there should be no problem getting insurance from a Portuguese company, There are plenty of insurance offices in every town. An alternative could be Abbeygate or Ibex who specialise in expat business and work on the phone or by email

Quotes from them can vary greatly as can the cover offered so try both to get a better idea.

Forgot to say it's a Hobby caravan which Towergate will not insure now so not sure if this will make a difference with other insurance company's and for 365 days
