Canopy Mechanism Fix?

There’s always something, so far this trip we’ve had to get a windscreen replacement sorted, and now the canopy mechanism is playing up.
It’s a manual wind in and out Tristor which we inherited with the van which is 9 yrs old.
When the canopy is almost fully wound in, the ratchet continually slips and won’t bite enough to close the case and house it properly.
I can’t see anything fouling it.
Does anyone know if it’s possible to get the mechanism replaced, or is it a new canopy job?
We’re currently at Lake Garda, not due back for a while.

Hi, possibly could be a gearbox malfunction ,check out the inside of the case front to see if there is a model no. Tristor not a brand which I have heard of but could well be an Omnistor under a another name check out the Dometic catalogue spares for rollout awnings they seem to own everything these days. you may be lucky.
