Hi There
I hope somebody can help which is probably a simple problem.
I have an Autotrail Delaware 2016.
The alarm went off last night and the wife disabled at the fob but then could not enable.
I arrived back home and tried again but nothing using the key fob.
I tried to get into the motorhome via the hab door but it was not having it and have tried again this morning but nothing.
We have the Heo Safe brand locks on the the passenger and driver doors so cannot get in via these doors.
A fellow member Tony G and friend suggests a flat battery caused by an internal trip is the problem but like me is mystified why I cannot get in via the hab door.
Any ideas appreciated.
Peter

Where are you? Not frozen is it?

Solihull
Key turns but cannot pull door. So possible I suppose.
We never had any frost here over night.

Yes have tried both fobs but nothing

We used to have something similar with our Autotrail.

I suspect the central locking electrical connection on the Habitation door is not making contact.

If so try pressing on the door to close firmly and try the key fob again. Lock first, then unlock.

you could try jumping it with another battery if you can reach the starter from under the van ,not to start it but to activate central locking function

RAC/AA will get you in if you're a member

Thanks all and particularly to Mike D.
I simply pushed the door and was able to unlock manually.
Battery levels are all ok but wonder why the alarm did not carry on gong off?
Regards
Peter

I had the very same problem a while ago. Thinking the battery's in both keys had died I replaced them, no go. Had to call breakdown out and he found a very very flat battery, turns out one of my darling! grandchildren had put the cab light on, and two days later that was the result.

funny story Chris, but not funny at the time for you.

If you are thin enough then go on the roof and through the top hatch over the bed area, it is a silly little catch ar held with one screw, and easily replaced. Too big? Then drop a kid in the same as another group of fellow travelers might do when they want in your van.

Just had to renew our vehicle battery after nearly 6 years. ( Autotrail tracker 2014 )
Glad it went now, as we are due through the channel tunnel on Tuesday at 10.20 hrs.
£134 inc Vat from a local tyre company. Identical battery.
Chuffed.
Mitch.
PS. Spain till early March.
