Does anyone know where I can get LPG near Roquetas del Mar? I have trawled the internet for the area and two visited places did not know what LPG or GPL was. We are heading through Almeria towards Cabo de Gato in the morning. Not desperate yet but……

As above, myLPG.eu It shows 2 stations bet Vera and the coast and a 3rd at a Service station at mp 487 on the A7 bet Vera and Almeria.
All showing stock as of 23rd August 22

Good Luck

On the app is states -

Cepsa - Carretera de Alicun

€1.069 confirmed 23.08

As stated app should help

What are you after? LPG in cylinders or LPG to fill on board cylinders. Quite a lot of Repsol garages will have cylinders. You have to have an empty Repsol cylinder or a contract. LPG to fill on board is available at quite a lot of fuel stations. Best asking locally.

I have asked locally, both at garages , campsite and all available internet sites. Reception for Wi-Fi v poor and downloads don’t download. I know the one near Vera. I am looking for Autogas to fill my Gaslow tanks.
According to LPG map there are two in Roquetas de Mar tried one who did not know what lpg was. Other a bit too far to check on bike. Will visit as we leave here. Thanks all

Don't they know it as GPL? 🤔

Edit: Looked it up

Last confirmed on the 19th August, but that doesn't mean they don't have any. 😎 Bob.

Bobandjanie, thank you for this info. It happens to be the one we have programmed to visit in the morning, although again, no locals know of it and following other places visited, we had little hope of success. Will let you know.

Try asking for Autogas you might get a better response...

Thank you juma, I had tried autogas and all other routes but the signal in my area whilst it often opened the title pages (not always) would rarely allow further checks. Very frustrating, it usually allowed Motorhome Fun though, which is why I requested help. A couple of times I had got three stations showing LPG, two of which did not know of Autogas, although it was an Autogas search. I will visit the third site today. I was aware that LPG were locally called GPL. Thanks for your help.

Sorry to read you’re having trouble. In our past experience of Spain most fuel stations supplied it.
You‘ll see a price for autogas or gpl on the illuminated roadside sign underneath the petrol and diesel prices, and a huge tank somewhere on the forecourt if they do.
They aren’t supposed to sell it to you if it’s for domestic use and not propulsion, but we’ve only been refused once, and just drove to the next fuel station half a mile away who were more than happy to sell it to us! We installed the filler nozzle in the skirt of the motor home to make it look like we were filling an under slung tank when really it’s attached to the bottles in the locker next to it.
If you’re using the mylpg app please update the information for each place as you go, it helps the rest of us!

Spain no longer has anything like the problems it had around 2002 regarding supplying GPL...
More outlets are available.....my car sales representative offered me a good deal on Autogas when I bought a new Citroen a couple of years ago...I declined and went petrol.
We have refillable cylinders in our motorhome and have never been refused ever...in all the major European countries we visited..
Filling up after the first cylinder has emptied is by far the best policy...One of the positive reasons for having this type of system..

Hope you get sorted
rosalan and that you are enjoying your trip
p.s. we filled up in Hull today 😉

Sorted! Found one place in Roquetas de Mar close to the Autopista, with another only a couple of k further on the road to Almeria. We have never had problems in Spain before but with present economic problems and being declined twice as not even knowing about Autogas, got a bit concerned. Thanks everyone.

A lot of the well travelled Spanish motorhomers have refillable bottles now. 😁
Glad you're sorted. 😎 Bob.
