We have a crossing booked for September and would like to cancel it. It's a standard, non refundable ticket.
What is the procedure to amend the booking? I've tried by email on two occasions with no response.
The chances are we will not use the ticket in the future.
Can I pass this ticket to someone else?
Frank

All you can do is move it forward one year from now online
Then if you do want to use it you can move it forward
You cant sell it on or get a refund

If you phone them (I was on hold for 25 min) they will cancel your booking and send you vouchers.
The vouchers must be used within 12 months but it is my understanding that the 12 months only applies to using the voucher and not the actual travel date (which can be later)

In the same situation, mrs dilbert online now trying to change booking to next year but system not accepting any new dates. due out 3rd sept .whole situation just makes me think of giving up and flogging the old blunder bus. Grumble grumble.

If you want the vouchers you have to phone them. Be prepared to be on hold for quite some time!

I don't think they have opened bookings for middle of next year yet , you have get a credit note & wait intil they start taking bookings

online move it forward as far as you can then do it again when further dates are bookable
EASY

Mrs dilbert just got through and put booking back to 15th feb. £245+80 for2 dogs return. Still despondent though

We turned our tesco points into Eurotunnel vouchers - tried for 3 days to get through to them on phone- gave up ad booked on line at great cost [poo] .... bloody tickets went down in price after I had booked them..... grrrr.
now we have to use the tesco voucher for ski ing trip [in the car ] IF that happens
and trying to cancel/amend this paid- for booking on Thursday [if Germany imposes Q14] and trying to re use it in next year is a hassle I dont need - and I am in despair about ever getting away to the continent or being able to plan anything...

I booked my standard Eurotunnel crossings back in February for June, who knew much about Covid 19 then? The event I was attending in France was cancelled because of Covid and rescheduled for the first weekend in September. I duly amended the crossings I wanted, at an extra cost of £76, only to discover last week the event had been cancelled again, due to the increase in Covid, and rescheduled to June next year. I've tried to amend the crossing again but the on line calendar won't go beyond February as the tickets are only valid for a year from the date of the original booking. Thought I'd be crafty and upgrade to flexible tickets and then cancel and get a refund but the website wasn't having any of that trick. To make matters worse my travel insurance expired just as the June event was cancelled and the renewal terms excluded any claims due to Covid.

It looks like France may be a no go for this season. Bad news for motorhomers as its the best place for our way of life.

The prices seem to have jumped up £30 since I looked a few nights ago, for ferries and the eurotunnel .

Like you, we were watching and hoping for an easing, but new case figures are rising, not falling, so it is hard to see any easing in the near future, and more likely a tightening in the likes of France and Spain
