Lots now
I have had Ryanair cancel a flight from Manchester to Ibiza in October, its not a problem as we can change to a day earlier. (So I know this can happen)

However we wanted to meet up with a friend in Santander for the end of the month over the weekend before our ferry from Santander. They cancelled the return from the Monday to the Friday evening of the same day he's flying out.
Unbelievable, he has no options now as there's no flights back.
Anyone else had airline's ruin your plans.
He will not get his hotel room deposits back I fear.

Yes. Easy Jet did that to us twice whilst trying to grab a weekend in Austria. Shocking attitude on the phone. Took us ages to get refunds.

Yes did it on our son's flight back from Switzerland in January they arrived at the airport to be told no flight and then went into the * My English is not so good mode, so we don't have to deal with you* Wrong choice were then asked in four European languages what they were going to do! ( he speaks nine!) Ended up on a flight to Birmingham where they dropped off the scheduled passengers and then flew the remaking passengers ( 19) to Manchester on the same plane (Sleazyjet)

October is a bit far ahead to be cancelling. Have they explained? ( I doubt it👎👎) You probably won’t get the truth.

Not spoken to them, I just accepted the day before flight.

That sounds quite accommodating - think what that would have cost them in landing fees and fuel.

That's why we will never use "paddy air" he cancels flights on a whim, if they are not full, or not enough passengers to make a profit, and as for refunds, forget it.
O'Leary could not care less about passengers, al he wants is ££££££££.
Can't understand why anyone uses paddy Air, about time he was boycotted

Yes I thought that too, it would have been cheaper to taxi/train them up to Manchester but they obviously wanted the plane there for the next flight I would imagine

Heard this so many times from numerous people over the years. Unfortunately he and the airline just gets bigger. Europe would be a small place without them. All saying That I do have to agree with your comments.

I used to wait and watch for cheapo flights to anywhere for a weekend away. Didn’t really care where it was and flew to some really nice places, Pau, for instance. Some flights were £10 each way. Didn’t do much for saving the planet though. Haven’t done it since covid started.
