I think hat if there are legal wing mirrors there is no requirement for an interior mirror. Vans with bulkheads cannot see through on.

Our 2003 Arto never had one.

I was confused by the thread title for a moment, " hello I thought, Dracula's bought a van now" . However, I now understand, yes we took ours out for the same reason, read all the comments first though whether it has any use to you other than as a mirror. For my part, I don't miss it, and it not being there opens the front vista out considerably.

My just pushes up

i took mine off my last coach built MH , they come as standard on the cabs , I had no rear windows so was just an obstruction, as Wikky says mins just pushed up to come off the bolt that is bonded to the window screen

I use ours to mount a rear view mirror camera on

OK I had to use extension wire to rear the rear of our van and some old BT Armoured cable came in very useful but it now gives me a useful rearview
