Hi folks. We have just had HPC self levellers fitted and while they are great, I am aware there is now a bit of a reduction in ground clearance. Not a problem except access to some driveways and of course, ferries.
so I’m looking at air assist suspension. My question is, can you raise the height of the vehicle with air assist systems or do you have to go to the full air suspension?

I don’t have any kind of air suspension (YET) full or rear but I’m fairly certain you can raise or lower with either system👍

I think you can achieve a greater difference with full air because you can lower one axle while raising the other.

Full air is the best system as it offers more options. I'm not going to guarantee that a "semi" system will do the trick as there are some variables and I fitted ours to improve the ride and handling. However raising the pressure does provide a degree of lift although I suspect this will vary from vehicle to vehicle so the answer is - maybe. You would certainly need to buy the kit that includes the onboard compressor and allows you to raise or lower the pressure as requiredfrom the drivers seat.

I can alter the tow bar height by 100mm on mine by just pressing buttons and adding air to the rear air assist.
