Hi our Peugeot boxer L3h2 engine management light stuck on and in limp mode
Started when the DPF filter flashed but that has cleared itself now but the EML and limp mode is still on
We are stuck on a campsite in Spain worry about driving it
Spain don’t seem to have mobile mechanics we just need a diagnostic Machine to tell us what is wrong
Not taking to a garage for them to have for a few days to do a full Investigation and get ripped off
Not easy as I am disabled and have special equipment in the van so need it do not want to be put up in a hotel
Have tried turning the engine on and off three times, disconnected the battery, reseated ECU lfuses
European assistance are supposedly helping us but we have to keep chasing them, second day now
Does anybody have any advice or help please

Can you let people know where in Spain you are? There might be someone local to you who could help.

Currently at the Donquijote Campsite, only supposed to be here for a day or two but on the fourth day now due to this problem, glad it is a nice site

There are places in Salamanca that could look at and reset if required but I would think if there is a serious problem you are not going to avoid having it put into a garage for repairs.🤔

OBD readers are as cheap as under £10 off ebay / Amazon.
Lots of code reader apps for free / pay for as well.

I had a very similar issue with a DPF sensor fault, its on here somewhere. Using a reader and app i managed to clear it a few times to allow me to make it home. Maybe order one and have delivered to campsite, only basic codes but could give you an idea what the problem is and a 50/50 chance you could clear it.. (y)

Quick possible fix, worked on a Citroen car. Disconnect cab battery. Have a cup of tea/beer and after 10 mins reconnect. If it works, great. If not its a recovery job.

Has anyone on the site got an OBD reader that you could borrow - perhaps ask the site manager? You really need to see what the error code is before deciding what to do, imho…..

Older Boxer but managed to clear ours by switching on and off SEVEN times at one second intervals.

All being repaired today, there was a Peugeot dealership in Salamanca, they did a reset and we were on our way went to Portugal for a few days it came back on again, back to Peugeot in Salamanca and it needs a new particulate filter
£2000 and being repaired this morning at 8 o’clock I think the manager took a bit of pity on us as we waited all day at the dealership yesterday with the dog and the wheelie! In a 36° heat wave without the air-conditioning working in the waiting area !
He didn’t charge us the full amount Which was very kind of him
Our insurance does not cover the part and it’s an expensive piece of kit
We were able to drive it 10 minutes up the road to a lovely campsite we did not go into a hotel
At least it was cheaper than if we’d have been in the UK, so hopefully we will be back on our travels this morning
Anyway thank you for all your help
