Testing out appliances on motorhome gas related , , got the heat coming through, cooker all good, but fridge won’t ignite
it works ok on mains , anybody got any helpful tips or info , maybe igniter ??

Maybe a blocked jet, can you hear it trying to ignite when you press the ignition button?

we had the same problem on a brand-new fridge it was the electric gas valve that opens & closes the gas off done under warranty

Same problem here. Can't hear any clicking of the igniter. It's a 2018 van and we are second owners Dometic have said that it is a 3 year warranty from the date of registration.

I'm giving up with them and will use a local mobile guy

If you take off the lower outside vent cover, you can access the lower part of the fridge. The burner and heater elements are in a lower corner, usually the right hand side. You may have to remove a small cover to see where the gas flame should be. Then you can see for example if there is sparking, if the flame lights but doesn't stay alight, or never lights at all. It takes a long time for the gas to get through if it's not been used for a few months.

I was told to look for soot there but it was really clean. I'll try your tip. Thanks

If your cooker is working ok on gas then there must be gas going to the fridge as said above check behind the lower vent.turn on the fridge and you should here it clicking ,trying to light up,if it doesn't light then you may have a jet blocked,by rubbish. Try blowing the jet with though with a straw or buy an aerosol can of air ( used for keyboard cleaning) and blow any rubbish out of the burner area.you can take the jet out and clean it but don't poke it with anything hard or you may damage the jet hole.if there is no clicking you can try a gas lighter on the burner tip to see if it ignites to see if gas is coming through ,then check the pizo electrodes and clean them up.

Gilly114 It is possible for the cooker and heating to work ok on gas , but not the fridge, There is a gas manifold fitted in your gas system that will have a separate isolation tap on it for each gas appliance , Cooker - Heater- Fridge etc (I think the fridge gas supply tap will have a blue open/closed control knob) if you have confirmed that the tap on the manifold for the fridge is in the open position , and there is no gas getting to the fridge , maybe the pipe from this tap on the gas manifold to the fridge needs investigation.

Have you tried tapping the igniter solenoid apparently they sometimes stick

i would start by removing the burner assembly checking the jet and looking for broken leads on the burner
