Does anyone know what is happening to this site?
According to their website Camping in the Forest will no longer run this campsite.
We were hoping to go up there for a weekend start of December but you can no longer book after the end of November.

This is one of our favourite places.

It was bought from CCC by Forestry & Land Scotland who have been seeking a commercial operator on a 15 year lease.
They turned down a bid from the local Aviemore & Glenmore community trust.
I don't know what the current state of play is i.e. if a new operator has been found.

Just filled in form will now wait and see what happens.
I really hope they dont decide to close the site over the winter months.

There were quite a few motorhomes parked up about half a mile past on the Cairngorm mountain road when I was there in May 2021, plus there's the motorhome stopover up on the mountain. Might not be ideal as a winter stop though.
