Camping Den Driesch Valkenburg now Closed

For those thinking of Valkenburg for Christmas markets Camping Den Driesch at the top of the hill has been sold is now closed and being converted to luxury mobilehome resort.

Due to reopen in April but unclear if motorhome pitches will be available.

Such a shame as a fantastic little site open all year round on the hills above the caves and city.

That's a shame, we enjoyed that site when we visited the Christmas market there.

We booked a motorhome pitch there a few weeks ago for 7 April. Seemed ok and we were looking forward to it (though we had to pay using EUR bank transfer. Two days ago got an email saying all bookings cancelled. Luckily able to find an alternative. They have promised refund and say they are closed. No reason given - maybe the refurb taking too long or maybe have decided no motorhomes or maybe some other bigger reason
