hi thanks are the instructions in English i remember going to the barriers on another similar one in France and had to back away as couldn't get in or understand how to get in ,,

Once you've got your card, either from the machine or by post (takes a while to come) you just keep using the same card. You just need the card to get in but need enough balance on the card to pay for your stay to get out.
You can call for help from the barrier machine. They speak English.

You can change the language on screen to English (en)
thanks puts you under pressure if your at the gate and cant work out how do get in ,,im bad enough trying to put fuel in ,,when its in french ,,spent 5 mins trying to wok out what the pump was wanting the last time ,,turns out it was asking for a loyalty card ,,

You’ll get in eventually but be prepared for a bit of a struggle if you’re getting a card for the first time. If you’ve got the time it’s far far better to pre order the card before you travel. It has the advantage of registering yourself and your payment method online, making future top ups very simple.

Just don't get stuck behind a French van, they haven't a clue, they often sit at the barrier for 20 min then give up and reverse out.
It's simple for us Brits.
And sometimes there are two machines. One for the payment and then another to open the barrier!
Been caught by that one.

I have known a French van to wait at the barrier till someone else goes through and then tailgate them to avoid paying. I assume they need to do this in and out otherwise might cost them more. It was done to me once.

hi thanks i will have a look at doing that ,,(y)

If you buy a card at one of their machines don't forget to validate it after it is issued. I didn't find this step obvious but you do it, when it asks you, by holding the card up against the machine. There should be a diagram on the screen showing you what to do. This step is necessary as it links the card to the account you will have created by this stage.

If you have any problems just call them on the number displayed on the signs. They speak good English.

And you have to be right up to the barrier before it opens too.
No. From the initial screen that is in a large box and very easy to use
To the barrier side of this is a small keypad. Sometimes on a post. Hold your new card to this. Same as contactless payment
The barrier will open
You don’t need to be within an inch of it:LOL:
You do not need to pay for the night before going on just before you leave
You can do this very easy on the screen

Don’t forget it’s for 24hrs from entry. Use the app and it will tell you how long you have to leave

Well all the ones I've been on you have practically had to put the front of the van onto the barrier.

I’m on one atm and used probably 10 so far and not pulled up close the only reason to be in front of the barrier is to stop the French jumping in front of you as the barrier goes up.

But what I will do is test it at the next one and report back and see how far away I am (y)
I’ve seen 2 on the one we are on atm tailgate out. To avoid paying
It also screws up the numbers of pitches available

We got a card a quite a few years ago but hadn’t used it for a long while. On our recent trip we couldn’t get the barrier to rise despite the machine recognising the card. A quick phone call to the English speaking customer services sorted it. It seems we had 2 accounts which confused the system, they deleted one and all was well.

We were very sceptical when they started but this trip has been great using them. So much cheaper than a campsite in peak season.
We are on Grenade sur L’Adour atm. It’s one of the old municipal campsites.
I mean for just over £10 a night electric wifi toilets showers that are hot and cleaned daily.

A mixture of free Aires and these makes for a great cheap tour.

I fell foul of this recently. My card wouldn’t raise the barrier so I put more money on the card, waived it around and around, closer, further away. So finally phoned the contact us number and told them “card no open barrier madam”. “Pull forward” she says, “Oh yes, it’s worked now. Cheers”😊😊

Hopefully this will help. This is the screen just choose UK

Select your nights you wish to pay for At the bottom of the screen is a button for existing customers press that if you already have the card it will ask you to scan your card

If you have a card already just scan on the keycode of this post behind the screen in front of the barrier.
If you already have a card with no credit on but registered you can just scan when you pull up.

You don’t need to pay for the nights before entering

Before leaving go to screen and pay. Remember if you don’t like it or only want services. €5 for 5hrs

We are finding the best value ones are the former municipal sites
Hope this helps :france:

Yes!! You can follow all the instructions but if you don't go right up to the barrier (within 1m we were told) it wont register that you are there!! Same applies on the way out.
