We are new to CCP but could anyone give us a tip on what we are doing wrong please. Ever time we find a location and go too book a space the following message appears…. Impossible de valider le sejour … we understand the message but don’t understand what we are doing wrong. We have credit.

Took me a while to work out it was because I had not paid for Pack Privilèges. I decided not worth paying for as we were travelling in Oct/Nov and unlikely to find them full.

Thank you so much … so does that mean if we don't take the PPs we cannot book on line?

That's right, the PP is a reservation service. However you can always check on how full your chosen place is. If you are thinking a few days ahead, you can monitor how full it is every night at, say, six. Also you can see roughly what time it empties, and consequently what time it starts to fill up again. If you are thinking of the weekend, err on the side of caution.

At this time of year it's unlikely you'll need to pre book anywhere but you can see the occupancy in real time on the app.
I decided against the PP as I'd rather just turn up and see if I like the place first. Don't really want to be feeling I've got to be somewhere, I may change plans and booking restricts this

Probably like most aires, the received wisdom is to find your spot by mid-afternoon.

2-4pm is when we like to ideally be rocking up .
Gives you time to suss the area before nightfall.
There are a couple we've seen/ stayed on that we would not choose to do EVER again unless seriously desperate.

The only other advantage is multiple exit re-entry, which can be handy if you are going to stay in the same place for a few days and dont have any other means of transport.
