Calshot parking

Hi, planning to go to Calshot, Hampshire, beach for day visit. Anyone know if motor caravans can get into the carpark?

Yes, we have used the first park on the right for many years. There is a handy toilet block there. If you park on the grass opposite watch the shingle, we helped dig a Rapido out last year, a Land Rover Discovery came to the rescue in the end.
The whole area is pay to park, this car park comes under the New Forest Council but if you go further on to the centre that is under Hampshire control. We only park in this one in the early evenings when the cruise liners used to start their trips.

They are very very strict on parking , toilet block open in activity centre as well , the block in car park being done up as we speak !

They use ANPR beyond the barriers, you pay at the machine by the hangar entrance before you leave. There is another pay machine next to the Windsurfing Shop.

You will see vans overnighting on the verge just outside of the barriers. Do not know if they are ever asked to move.

I have never seen any moved on even on overnight stays, that's not to say it would never happen. I think you have to pay to park there but not 100% certain.

I'm thinking of popping down to Calshot at the weekend, does anyone know if there are any objections for staying overnight - I see they have 300 long stay parking spots for 20hrs Many thanks

look on Google maps .. the parking sign says ..

No camping or overnight sleeping
