We are looking to meet up with friends in February in Calpe and just wondered if anyone had recommendations for sites in that area? Thanks.

We always stay at Mediteraneo. It is a bit cramped usually and you should book ahead of arrival, just to make sure you can get in. Clean showers and toilets, plenty of taps dotted around and convenient supermarkets such as Aldi and Consum near by.

A 15 min walk to the beach, 20 min walk into the main part of the town.

We quite liked La Merced com pared to other, more modern sites in the area but then we like CL's and the "rustic" feel. All depends on what you like and it has to be said that La Merced is rather shady with lots of trees.
A relative stayed on Calpe Mar and was very happy there but having visited him, we wouldn't be seen dead on the place, even if we could get a fiver in there. Talked about packed!

We’ve looked at the sites and Aires in Calpe and we were not impressed. We like this Aire, which is nearer to Alicante but right next to a tram stop. The trams are excellent and go all along there from Calpe to Alicante.

We also like this campsite in Oliva:

Where you want to stay and what you’re happy with is very individual. We’ve learned never to book anywhere without seeing it first.
