I finally managed to get a 6Kg Calor lite from Go Outdoors today after 4 weeks of trying on a daily basis. My local campsite has plenty so supply doesn't seem to be a issue however Go Outdoors did say that they are being phased out and being replaced but didn't know what with. Apparently the regulators will still fit !!! Google couldn't give me an answer. Anyone know any more?

Think they are being phased out by Calor as uneconomic. Will use standard 6kg cylinder from now on

Calor are developing new lightweight cylinders, which are due to be introduced from 2018.

In the meantime the existing 6kg calorlite cylinders will continue to be available, but no new ones will be manufactured. Invariably they will become more scarce throughout this year. Calor has suggested that in the short term, standard cylinders will be offered where there are no lites available.

I have a 6kg lite and a standard 11kg I do tend to run the 11kg down first and then use 6kg as a backup looks like need to keep doing this
I hope they bring out a 11kg lite

Course, there used to be BP Lite which was around 10/11 kgs but never took off properly yet it was supposed to have Ben rolled out throughout Europe which would have been brilliant but proved not to be.

The BP one is still available at our local Homebase's, now being renamed Bunnings.

My suspicion is that all the Lites will have been withdrawn and replaced with standard cylinders before the new lightweights are available. It will then be no surprise to find you have to pay for a new hire agreement to upgrade from the standard cylinders. I am not usually this cynical but I don't trust Calor on this one because they could easily have undertaken to upgrade current Lite users when the new ones are available, and described the use of replacement standard cylinders as temporary. They have carefully avoided doing this in their official statement.

Depends on where you exchange I exchanged a small 4.5kg butane for a 6kg Propane Lite at my local dealers when I bought my MH. He was not fussed bottle for bottle.

Got a lite bottle this week from my local calor distributor and he said they had just had a delivery which included lite bottles. He was surprised as he had been informed they are being withdrawn.
They are still out there folks, you just need to hunt!!

They are, only two phone calls and a short drive to a local motorist shop to pick up their last one.
