So, changed bottles over on Sunday at motocross. Off this weekend, don’t really need a new one as only away for 3 days which is just as well because Go outdoors have none in stock for miles around. My local campsite always has some as does our local Calor store but if people are in dire need they could be stuck out if hours. We live in Poole and there is none today in an 80 mile radius.

I found the same a few weeks ago- apparently there is a shortage of canisters.

Don’t rely on Go Outdoors click and collect. They say that they are in stock when they aren’t.

Get a safefill cylinder & refill when required

Sympathy, but not surprising, Dorset?. Height of the Holiday season?. Thousands of `van out for the "once a year" holiday, I`m afraid. Lateral thinking, where are you headed? plot route and check online for campsites and Calor agents en-route?. Have you tried Stalbridge, That used to be a BIG depot. I did Vessel surveys there back in the 80`s.

Not surprised as I live here but thought it may be useful for any visitors who get caught short. I have plenty for my very short, little trip to Seaton :)

Enjoy, I worked that whole area Bournemouth to the Tamar, From Yeovil, for almost 20 years until I retired. in 1997.(y)

I live 10 mins away from the main Calor Depot up here and had the same problem, what I have seen though is plenty of garage forecourts are stocking it, my last 2 have been from them, not bloody cheap mind, but at 10.30pm on a Wednesday night, when you are off the next day , I don't quibble.

And you reminded me my 6kg one ran out in Lommel.

Most expensive recent one was from a CMC site!. over £26.
I recently paid £31.40 for a 6kg one at our local ESSO garage for the BBQ in the garden. It only costs me £11 to fill the alugas in the van. Calor bottles are akin to day light robbery.

I bought a 6kg from go outdoors a month a go think it cost around £18.50 with CCC discount

The local garage (Calor bottle stockist) where I fill my Gaslow setup told me on Saturday that the Calor branch in Carlisle was removing it's autogas pump and he thought it was going to be a company wide thing as they make far more money from bottles.
I bought just over 6kgs, which cost £8, his price for a 6kg Calor bottle was £24.

I use Flo Gas same fittings as Calor Gas. search flogas suppliers. can be tool hire centres, homebase , hope that helps.

I unfortunately can only carry the 3.9 kg propane bottles. I always have a third one available. I use go outdoors, but not during peak periods, not just before bank holidays, and i always give them a ring, check stock, and then get on e labelled up with my name on it. Have never been let down yet.

My local Go outdoors is usually very good with stock and usually I would avoid busy holiday times but happened to run out just at the wrong time. One full bottle is good for a while though so not too worried. Good excuse to eat out rather than cook I guess

Love our Gas-It 11kg bottle. Cost £200 to fit, and can top it up anytime, gas is half the price of Calor, and can fill up both at home and abroad. Add on the bluetooth sensor which is really accurate and its a winner.

For info... currently problems with supply from Neath causing shortages in Dorset, Hampshire and parts of Somerset. Campsite’s have preference over Go Outdoors and Calor centres.

I've got a couple of full ones and one empty, 6kg lightweight calor propane, if anyone is interested. I had a lpg tank fitted so can't use them anymore.
