What is the best route for the above avoiding Rouen. I've seen so many posts saying how bad Rouen is it's making me nervous:eek:

I’ve never had a problem at Rouen, we came that way in December.
If you are using the N154 beyond Rouen just follow the signs for A 13 Paris which you join for a mile or so until you see the N154 sign for Evreux

Try via Michelin route planner. Not had a problem going through Rouen.

I've been a very great fan of ViaMichelin since 1998 and still just as reliable as ever.

No problems with Rouen , drove through on a number of times

Enter Rouen through the tunnel over the river take second right down under the bridge and follow the road, no problem.

With Rouen, it's just the tunnels that cause problems. Pay careful attention to your satnav and you should be able to avoid them. If you do find yourself diverted into Rouen itself, just ignore any satnav instruction that tells you to "take the tunnel". Just Drive straight on as these tunnels are just underpasses to speed up the traffic (cars only), so continuing on should not divert you from your route.

Nope, there is only 1 right slip road now, immediately after crossing the river

Why don't you go down the east side. We came down that way from the tunnel in January to Elche. Did it in 3 days and not pushing it.

As all the members have stated, just take your time and you will be fine going through Rouen. Have a look on Utube and I think you can find some videos going through Rouen
also have a look on the website ‘about France.com, it’s got good information and routes through France using Tolls, no tolls or a mixture of both.

So easy going by Reims and then Lyon.

Take a look at High Peak Autos on utube he drives a Fiat Panda from Stockport to Malaga.

You will probably need a crit air certificate, easy to get and cheap as chips, lasts the lifetime of the vehicle and covers all areas of France that have emissions restrictions
