Ever since lighting was by Calor gas.
I returned to my 1995 (immaculate) Compass Navigator yesterday after a couple of hours browsing the WW1 museum and the market. It was parked correctly, not overhanging the bay or the road to be told by a bystander that a market trader's van had passed so close to my m/h that he had sheared off the Carver Cascade 2 vent and broken my long side window. I've taken the m/h it around Europe for 5 years with ne'er a scratch nor a single problem with it.
The Carver vent is now obsolete. I found on t'web that GE Henry parts are interchangeable with an adapter plate but that model is also obsolete. I then found that Propex took the business over but the vent is listed as discontinued.
I phoned 4 breakers only to be told that they are rare as rocking horse poo. There's a s/h one on eBay with a cracked frame at £110 and another very scruffy one on eBay that had reached bids of £32 so I placed a bid of £80 which still wasn't enough as there are automatic bids in hand that exceed £80!
I'll probably have to make one up by modifying a standard proprietary grille/vent as it's merely a vent and not a critical part of the heater which doesn't leak and works fine.
This is the vent, obviously pre-damage:

As far as the window goes (1520mm x 620mm) it seems there's little chance of a replacement as it's a very much larger size than those fitted to later m/h designs. I've phoned five caravan/motorhome breakers who have nothing anywhere near the size.

I came back home last night (as planned) after a lovely trip but with the impossibility of getting parts I'm feeling pretty fed up now!

Best of luck finding the bits, only positive thing I can add is lucky he wasn’t 15mm closer it would damaged the whole side

Magnums and O’Leary’s often get a mention for parts (y)

I managed to get a replacement window for my old Holdsworth off eBay - it was a second hand caravan window. I had to adjust the catches but it fitted perfectly.

A bit of a bummer but all is not lost.
ECCO will make a window for you they will use your exsisting one as a pattern & not too expensive.
They maybe able to do the vent as well.
Thanks Lenny. Great! I'll give ECCO a call. The cost is not a concern unless it's a grand when I'll put it through my insurers.

You're right, it could've been body damage. I spoke to O'Learys who said they had 2000 vents when they bought up the Carver stock but none left now :(
I'll give Magnum a call.
EDIT - I can only find Magnum Windows at Brentford who seem to be domestic window and double glazing specialists.........o_O

Blimey, must be worthwhile someone making them

You've had your Arras handed to you but stay positive :)

It would be. Two of the breakers that I spoke said they buy up any that they spot but not many come up and if I'm lucky enough to get one I should expect tp pay between £70 and £100 for a s/h one.
I'm surprised they are so rare as there must be many thousands of older (and scrapped?) m/h and caravans that have the Carver Cascade water heater.

'Twas a bit of a kick up the Arras to be honest but although I'm not wealthy I never get stressed about anything that can be solved with money. I count my blessings ;)

Thanks @Janine. I've been searching eBay and Gumtree for four or five hours this morning but mine seems to be somewhat larger than most.
I've requested a quote from EECO who make to measure so all's not lost.

I’ve seen a couple that are listed as the right size or very similar, hard to know without knowing where dimensions were taken from.

Posted similar on another thread recently.
I went through windscreen glass cover cost £50 excess for eeco to make one and replace via autoglass large side DG on a classic autotrail ford based

This bloke had 00's of all sizes in stock when I got a replacement for mine, albeit far smaller. Broken Link Removed
Normally advertises a few on ebay

How on earth did they avoid the mirror and hit the window and vents.
Guy must have been a genius

They do this one which is larger than yours & also another that is 600mmdepth. worth looking on their site. Also as others have said worth claiming under the 'glass' cover.

Also, if all else fails, you could replace with a single sheet of perspex bonded to the recess or body. Non opening of course, but much cheaper.

Very upsetting for you.

On the bright side, it could have been worse, but still a bummer.

Phew! Thanks @Lenny HB .
I've just received the made to measure quote from EECO - £460 including VAT and two lots of courier charges as not unreasonably they need my broken one as a pattern. I won't bother with putting it through my insurance.
It'll take 4 - 5 weeks unfortunately but Hey! at least I can actually get the replacement. What a relief.
It must be Wine o' Clock to celebrate now (Luckily I'm still on French time ;) )I just have to work out how to remove it. It seems to remove complete with the hinge bar (which they want me to leave attached) by loosening the Philips grub screw securing the black plastic block stopper and sliding it along to the end and off the trim rail. I'll wait til the rain stops (y)

A friend had his window part company with the MH as it wasn't secured before travel.
He used a place in Wales, he went there from Kent, the replacement is slightly taller but OK as the width was OK and allowed it to operate the catches
I think it was this one, very helpful he said
