Tour Guide Wanted Caen To Valencia

Heading from Caen to Valencia in early December. Any suggestions for a non toll route and Aires in France on route. We are familiar with the Spanish side but it's France we need help with. Thanks.

Have a look at tonka's Western Route in Resources. We use it when heading down that way.

Tonka's Western route gets my vote as well, But.
Don't try to save a few Bob at the bottom of the N10 near to the Spanish border.
Imagine, if you will mile after mile of traffic, traffic lights, roundabouts more traffic more traffic lights and its very urban. Do your sanity a favour and pay for the toll.
This, coming from a Tyke with a Scots mother!!!

Be aware there could be deep snow depending where you cross the Pyrenees at that time of year. Stick close to the West coast as much as you can.
