Hi all, just looking at routes from Caen to Valencia and wondered if anyone could suggest nice aires just for one night stopovers. I know there are a couple of routes but we are not bothered which way we go would just like confirmed aires by funsters. We have p4n, sfs, camperstop so minefield, thanks in advance.

Check out Tonkas western route in resources that should suit you.

Thanks, we have looked at that route and may well pick up the N10 after Angers it is more aires as its giving g me a headache with too much choice. Not asking someone else to do the work just if Funsters have a preference to a nice stopover that I can check out.

There’s some aire suggestions on Tonka’s western route that should help. We stopped in the parking area by the Abbey at Vendome & at the aire in Cavignac on the way down. Both free and great for a stopover without going too far off our route.

A couple of aires you might choose to use. Free services etc. Carenina and El Grau on the coast.

I have just done Caen to Valencia via Bordeaux and Zaragoza (currently in Altea) and stayed in a couple of campsites on the way down. One cheaper park was actually in Valencia called Valencia Camper Park on the outskirts, with good train connection into the city. I mention this as the food in their little restaurant was excellent and cheap. Try the Paella !

Wanted to say. Didn’t realise how breathtaking the scenery would be it once over the border on the way to Pamplona. I should have stopped off there for a couple of days.

We just want some warmth atm so looking to get as far past the border tomorrow. Checking stops out tonight. Noisy where we are but OK and free for a stop over, we think the other aire here is shut so good job we picked the noisy one.
