C1 question

Have just received form D46P from the DVLA say my license is due for renewal.
As I need to retain my C1 have sent off for the D2/D4 pack. Will book the medical after the forms arrive. But do I also have to fill in the D46 form as well?

Just the D2 and the doctor fills in the D4 medical report.
It's usually advisable to fill in what you can on the D4 to save the doctors time and do check the form before leaving the doctor in case something has been missed. It’s a good idea to read through the multi page form a few times to become conversant with the details.
Be prepared for a long wait, my renewal took almost four months without any medical complications or problems.

Under Section 88 you can continue to drive while the DVLA are processing your renewal but only in the U.K.
