Buying lhd from Germany

struggling finding a used weinsberg caracore anywhere in the Uk, going to use abroad mostly anyway but what are pros and cons.
Resale-warranty-Vat implications- obviously cost and selection a lot better. In no rush this year but becoming disallusioned with attitude here of dealers and not prepared to pay £5k deposit on something we havent seen or likely to see for 6 months...

You will have of course more chance to find what you want in Germany and probably at a cheaper price than here. This however will be offset by having to pay VAT on an second-hand EU import. My personal experience with German dealer, trying to import a new campervan, has been appaling.

Yes they are shite, I dont know if they are just that way with everyone or just foreign buyers.
I would however buy from Germany if I decided on another van as with the money saved on last years holiday plus this year and next year are being paid for with the money saved, plus by all accounts most English dealers are no better so certainly wouldn’t want to pay them £££ for a bad experience.

can you not reclaim the 19% vat and then pay our 20%, is this on new, used ?
