Buying a Satellite System from a German supplier

Thinking of buying a satellite system from a German supplier will I be hit with extortionate carriage charges because we have left the EU
 
hi we have a maxview 85cm works superb & you can up date it your self on to a usb spares on your doorstop not waiting for the eu mess up wondering when its going to arrive our other was French alden & a lot of fiddling getting it repaired THATS why we chose British because of b----- this is as good as as any German satellite

I had the Target Autoskew fitted to our last Motorhome but let it go to when we sold it
In hindsight I should have removed

hi yes you should have done they sell all the wiring /fitting for taking it off so you can leave the roof fittings where they are i know because i was the labourer

20% VAT plus customs agents charges, if the seller is geared up for exports he should be able to ship it ex German VAT which is 19%.
 
We’ve got an Alden system, I wouldn’t recommend it to anybody ☹️
 
Why don't you give Anthony OysterTech a call or PM (forum member). He might have some reconditioned ones knockiing around or special price for new system.

Edit: just realised he doesn't sell but is an authorised service agent. He obviously imports spare parts and may possibly sell reconditioned units. He's a fountain of knowledge regarding Oyster systems.

I did consider that as I’m out there in September if all go’s to plan
hi i was just thinking way go for a German sat because with GPS they are super quick fast than the others . we had a problem with the twin LNB changed & returned in 4 days i would hate to think how long it would have taken coming from the EU . as we was waiting 2 years yes 2 yes waiting for dometic skylight blind replacement

Have had my systems fitted by Jacksons for over 20 years. They come to your door and an excellent warranty.
