Hi All,

Could anyone tell me what these two buttons are/do please? They are located in the center of the dash under the radio.
I've looked through the Owner Handbook in both the controls and auto box sections and cant see anything.
I'm guessing the right-hand one is traction control (on/off) and the left- hand button is to do possibly with engine braking when descending a steep hill?
Can anyone clarify what they do please?
I did ask the dealer I purchased the van from what they did ........ briefly - yet again absolutely no help just told me to read the Owners Handbook which I have done :(

Hill descent assist keeps engine speed down without having to keep your foot on the brake.

As said left hand one is Hill descent, only works up to 25 kph think.
Right hand one is Traction Plus, when Traction Plus is fitted Traction Control is permanently on.

Thank you Lenny HB & Clivefog - the force has been restored :giggle:(y)

Now knowing what they are called I checked again. Lenny you are correct the Hill Decent can be engaged only under 25kph so that's around 15.5mph. The feature is selected at the speed you with to travel at down hill and the vehicle will maintain that speed. No direct breaking input is needed by the driver and the vehicle will descend using engine braking, gearbox AND wheel brakes as needed. At the bottom of the slope the system on/off button needs to be pressed again.
Traction Plus is the traction control system that helps with slippery surfaces. If its difficult to start off on terrain where grip is poor due to wet grass, mud, sand or even ice and snow, press the Traction+ and the electronic differential will transfer the torque to the wheel with the best grip. On vehicles with ESC, the system's control module detects skidding and applies the brakes, before transferring the drive torque to the wheel with the best grip on the ground.
The system can only be activated at low speeds, meaning less than 30 km/h or around 18.6mpg.
